How VoIP Works:

MyCostSavingCall converts your outgoing phone calls into data that zips through your high-speed Internet connection (just like email but in real time). It comes out at the other end just like a regular phone call. The person that you call will not be aware that you are not using a regular phone service since it will sound just like a regular phone call.

Advantages of VoIP

Of course, it all boils down to one question: how does all this new technology benefit you? The answer is simple and it is good news

VoIP costs less

VoIP has many more features, and they are virtually free of charge. In addition you don't have to change your existing phones and you can keep your current phone number.

In order to access the internet for voice calls you will need a device which converts a basic analog telephone signal to a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) voice signal. Something like the BiPAC 7402VL pictured above is perfect for the job.

How the Phone-2-Phone VoIP service works for you

VoIP is the latest technology that uses the Internet to transport your calls. Now you can leverage the internet using VoIP and call anywhere in the World for less. The MyCostSaving Call VoIP System is of a higher quality than our competition because we use the highest quality internet bandwidth from UUNET and proven Cisco technology for the VoIP portion of the call.

Not only that but then we route your calls through higher quality, Tier One routes. The system is proven to work better for any call, domestic or international and especially mobile to mobile calls.

In summary this is how the system works:

Any regular analogue telephone (even a cordless phone) can be connected to the BiPAC 7402VL. It is shipped pre-configured by MyCostSavingCall so you don't have to do anything other than to plug it in.

Connecting the BiPAC 7402VL to your computer is simple. All you need is a high quality broadband ADSL connection.

Once the BiPAC 7402VL is connected to the internet it automatically finds the MyCostSavingCall servers and registers itself so that calls can be made and received.

By using the Internet as our network and connecting to Tier One carriers, we are able to operate as a high quality, least cost provider and compete with the traditional TELCO's (in our case Telkom) and pass on the savings to you.

We will provide you with a BiPAC 7402VL to make the analogue to VoIP telephone signal conversion for you. Once you receive your BiPAC 7402VL, you simply plug it in, setup your ADSL connection, wait two to three minutes for the device to synchronize with our global platform and begin making phone calls anywhere in the world.

The BiPAC 7402VL looks similar to a small router with an Ethernet connection and an analog port.

It includes the following features:

  • Communication using Using SIP/Firewalls
  • High Quality Audio
  • IP Required via Broadband-Cable, Modem or Ethernet (no need for dial ups!)
  • Plug And Play Installation or use your existing H.323 or SIP VoIP Adapter.

As a MyCostSavingCall Phone-2-Phone VoIP Service subscriber, you will use your telephone in the same manner as always. There are no access numbers or special PIN numbers required to make phone calls through the MyCostSavingCall VoIP Services platform.

The MyCostSavingCall Residential VoIP lets you make phone calls using your DSL or Cable Internet connection. In general you need a phone adapter that connects to a cable or DSL modem on one hand and your existing phone on the other as shown in the diagram below.

Of course a soft phone is an option as well. A software client on the PC takes the place of the standard phone. The client lets you do everything a phone does plus a lot more using the ability of the PC to handle voice and data simultaneously with ease.

Issues to consider:

  1. The BiPAC 7402VL has a connection for a phone. If you want to connect multiple phones like you may currently have with your land line service, you will need to disconnect your home phone wiring from the telephone network and plug the BiPAC 7402VL into an unused phone outlet. This will allow you to connect any of your existing phones into any phone outlet in your house. You will need to carefully follow the instruction provided by your VoIP service provider when performing these changes.

Note that your phone service will not operate during a power outage or if the cable/DSL modem or Phone Adapter is unplugged.
